Hello again all!
Today was quite the day at the Flying Fingers. First of all, it being Wednesday again, I started very early getting the store all set up with the sale yarns of the day. Then I started getting the W.W. web orders in order. Then, finally, I was doing the most fun work of the day. We just got in a GIANT shipment of Berroco fall yarns.

A tantalizing hint of fresh off the sheep/tree/plant yarn...
I know, geeze, it’s hot as heck and still spring. A whole two seasons away from fall! But the yarn biz, like the fashion biz, must stay ahead of the curve and in front of the seasons. Despite not knowing where I am going to keep all of this stuff in the warehouse, it was a WHOLE LOT OF FUN to check in the new yarns from Berroco and see what my mom has gotten for the fall. Washable wool blends, shiny plant blends, and ten giant boxes more. I have already several future projects in mind that I will definitely start, but may or may not finish.
Speaking of things that are almost finished, my postcard for the Great Adirondack trunk show is nearly done! It will be mailed very soon and posted here just for the heck of it!
Hope all of your projects are going well!

Hello All!
First, let me introduce myself. Many of you may already know me as the nice young man who runs to the warehouse to get you your yarn. Or the nice young man who writes you a note wishing you luck on your project after you order yarn from our website. Or the nice young man who always is starting a project and never finishing (My dog is still waiting for her sweater!) Yes, Dillon the knitting son here, ready to take over the blogging responsibilities that my mother left behind! She wanted to be a faithful blogger, and she did a better job once she promised to try to post more regularly, but alas, she decided to let the younger generation take over the younger media. My mom always says, people under 30 were born knowing how to use a computer. Me, being in the under thirty crowd, knows the ins and outs, not to mention fun of a blog, and I am going to be wearing the blogging hat here at Flying Fingers from now on. My mom will of course still have a presence, and I will still be posting projects and thoughts of hers here, after all I will be doing most of the posting during our cocktail hour after work. Sometimes sipping an iced tea, sometimes a glass of wine, sometimes a martini. We are very civilized.

So my mom was bugging me just now that I need to get on making a postcard for our upcoming Great Adirondack trunk show(I also wear the graphic designer hat.) I should have it finished soon, and I am really excited to see all of the fabulous colors and textures that are sure to arrive in the boxes. I am a big fan of Great Adirondack, and I have just finished a scarf for next fall out of Sirino. Watch for the trunk show both in the store and on the web in the middle of June.
She also has me coming in early tomorrow to help her set up for another of our ever popular Warehouse Wednesdays. We will be continuing Warehouse Wednesdays throughout the summer in both the store and the website as our main summer sale, and keep an eye out for great deals and fun yarns.
I look forward to being a regular presence on this blog, and hope all of your projects are going well…
~Dillon
