And my Poppy too! Long overdue for a visit, I was so excited when I went to go pick them up from yesterday from JFK. I took my sister Miranda with me, and we had a blast and by blast I mean we got lost over and over. We must have gone to at least three different locations thinking it was the right place for arrivals. Finally we got it all sorted out, just in time to meet Nanny and Poppy at the proper gate. Gotta love NYC airports!
It has been a great visit so far. Nanny spent the afternoon today in the shop. Her new project is to make socks for all of her grandkids. I’m so excited, because I am on that list!

(that’s my foot in my Nanny’s loving nap, inside of a toasty Alpaca Sox’s sock that was hot off the needles)
It has been a great last couple of Saturdays here in the shop. And by here in the shop I mean out on the road! The Yarn Bus has been out and about picking up passengers, with yours truly at the helm! Never hesitate to call or email if you are looking for a lift. And if you see us on the road, wave! We are always happy to see you!
Hope to see you soon!

Dillon–I was at an all day knitting retreat today and teaching the afternoon class (using Blue Sky Alpaca yarn from Flying Fingers!). During one of the quiet times when everyone was knitting (but not having to concentrate on the pattern), I told them the story of how the Yarn Bus came to Flying Fingers and how I drove it for the first three months or so. They thought it was a great idea for a yarn shop! And while I don’t miss driving it, I do miss seeing it. I’m glad to hear that you are the driver these days. Watch out for those underpasses!!
