FALL 2009
CLASS & WORKSHOP SCHEDULE
Weekly classes run for 6 weeks, with a make up class the week after classes end. You can sign up for a class after it has started but there is no pro-rated fee schedule. You must pay for the entire class no matter how many weeks you actually attend. This applies to absences, too. There are no refunds once you’ve paid for a space in a class.
Classes DO NOT INCLUDE MATERIALS. Yarn must be purchased at Flying Fingers. Yarn acquired elsewhere is not permitted in class. The only exception is in kid’s classes where all materials are included. Classes are open to all skill levels, knitters are well as crocheters.

Please send me an email when you have a class on knitting for baby. I was just informed by my daughter-in-law that I am going to be a grandmother. Needless to say, I want to make a baby sweater.

Dear Elise,
I’d heard about you for some time, but made the trip south on Saturday past. I just want to tell you that my Flying Fingers experience was AMAZING. Found a place to park, wandered into your mecca of magnificence, talked to your staff (and you) and was introduced to Great Adirondeck which I NEEDED to purchase. While I waited for one of the hanks to be wound, I sat and chatted with some of your ‘regulars’. Everyone was so nice and friendly – I just wish that you were closer to me in proximity so that you could be my LYS! I’ll definitely be back as soon as I finish my shawl. The Tilli Thomas yarns are calling to me…. thank you for such excellence!
best,
Jody Mellenthin

I would love to give my daughter for her birthday a subscription to a series of classes for relative beginners (focusing at least at first on basic skills), to which Mom and daughter could come together. This would need to be on a weekend, or an evening during the summer. Do you have anything like this planned?
Thanks.

Hi Elise,
The new schedule is a little problematic for those of us who need to schedule our knitting around nursery school (why isn’t it the other way around?)
Is there any way that the next session could offer a morning class skewed slightly earlier, like 9:15-11:15?
And will there be a beginning crochet workshop offered soon?
Keep up the good work, and the good vibes! Go Flying Fingers!

How about an Elizabeth Zimmerman-inspired class? I enjoy reading Elizabeth Zimmerman’s books but I can not figure out just what to do; maybe we could get together and try?

I had the pleasure of coming to your store today to purchase yarn for a scarf someone else will be knitting for my nephew. I must say it inspired me!! I would like to sign up for a class as soon as your December schedule is ready. I did learn to crochet and knit when I was young but just the basics. I would love receiving your schedule with suggestions for what classes would be appropriate. Thank you.

I am dying to see what classes are coming for 2009. I desperately need to learn how to knit socks! It’s become an obsession.
